Dear Sponsors,
Our recent trip to Guatemala was very successful! We had a team of 24 from Maine and Utah. There were different projects to be done, so everyone was kept busy.

The sponsorship team was able to see and update the 24 children who have been part of the program. It was rewarding to see how much the children enjoy school and to see how much they are learning. They are excited and eager to learn. We also added 26 new children. Some of these children will be attending the Fuente de Esperanza School in Membrillal, while the others, from San Lucas and a small community called Chicamen, will be part of a new program in San Lucas. We now have over twenty children waiting to be sponsored. Please help us spread the word about these children! There are still teachers waiting to be sponsored as well. Two teachers are currently listed there, but more will need to be added for next school year. This would be a good project for a church, civic group, a Sunday school class, etc. You can see these new children at www.hishandsforguatemala.org.

Part of our team worked to build eight cook stoves for families in Membrillal and in neighboring Magdalena, while others worked on the addition of a new classroom for the school in Membrillal. Joel and Janna, a brother-sister singing duo, were able to do five concerts: at a youth meeting, at two churches, and at two schools. They blessed all who heard them.

This past summer, Jamie and Philip Charles visited India and now His Hands for India has been added to the programs of His Hands Support Ministries. Be sure to visit the new website www.hishandsforindia.org to learn more about it. India is not the only new project. Soon another new program will be announced! Please keep this in prayer as all the details are worked out. Many of you may be wondering how His Hands Support Ministries can continue to investigate these new opportunities and the only answer is that they are simply following God and the work He has prepared for them. Along with new opportunities, He has also brought new ways to increase their capacity through volunteers and modern technology. The responsibility of running the Guatemala program has been turned over to one of these volunteers, Jamie Dennett (that’s me !). Jamie Charles and Matt Lenfestey are now sharing the responsibilities of the Haiti program. Please continue to pray for wisdom for the board and for God’s provision as they follow His lead.

We greatly appreciate your interest in the needs of the children of Guatemala. Thank you so much for your part in this ministry and thank you for your continued prayer and support. We plan to return to Guatemala in August 2011. Our next trip will be to Africa as a team of three leave on November 29, 2010 to update the children there. Please keep them in prayer, too.

Serving Him,
Jamie Dennett, Child Sponsorship Coordinator
